PMJC 2024: An Extraordinary Journey of Love, Hope, and Healing Across the Globe

What does it mean to be a light in the darkness? At PMJC, it means showing up where the need is greatest, with compassion in one hand and faith in the other. That’s what PMJC2024 is all about: crossing continents, meeting people where they are, and sharing the transformative love of Jesus Christ.

Our mission is straightforward: uplift the forgotten, heal the broken, and inspire hope where it feels long lost. We kicked off this year’s journey in Costa Rica—a country full of vibrant culture and profound need.

Mission to Costa Rica: Healthcare Where It’s Needed Most

In the Puerto Viejo Limon province, accessing healthcare isn’t just hard; it’s almost impossible. One clinic, one doctor, and no guarantees he’ll even be there when you need him. A resident summed it up: “I have never had a health checkup before. Many people here live without knowing their health status.”

This hit us hard. So, we got to work. PMJC provided health screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, haemoglobin, and uric acid levels. But it wasn’t just about tests. We shared knowledge, empowering people to take charge of their health. We handed out food donations, prayed with families, and, above all, reminded them they were not forgotten.

The work here isn’t done. There’s so much more to be done, and we’re inviting you to be part of it. Click here to visit PMJC Global or email info@pmjcglobal.org to find out how you can help.

Mission to Ghana: A Beacon of Hope

Next stop: Ghana. This country is rich in history and culture, but the challenges some communities face are heartbreaking. In the northern region, we visited three orphanages, Kpawumu Children’s Home, Afaani Children’s Home, and Tamale Children’s Home, each a sanctuary for kids who’ve been through more than anyone should. We delivered food, worshipped God, shared the gospel, and spent time reminding these children they were loved.

“Tamale Children’s Home has been here for 23 years, but there’s still much to improve. PMJC’s support means the world to us. Thank you for seeing our need and responding.”

Our mission reached those societies often overlooked. In Gushegu, the alleged witches, widows, people with disabilities, and those with mental health challenges. We conducted health screenings and tackled anaemia head-on, a condition claiming far too many lives, especially among pregnant women.

An elder explained the tragic reality: “These women are called witches, often due to false accusations. They’re cast out of their communities and forced to live in isolation.”

Our message was clear: no one is beyond God’s love. We offered care, education, and prayers to show them they’re seen and valued.

Mission to Nigeria: Love in Action

In Nigeria, the need is undeniable, but the love we encountered was overwhelming. In Kaba Kajola, Kwara State, we offered health screenings and distributed food donations. But we didn’t stop there; our nurses shared tips to help the community stay healthier for the long haul.

Then came Future Focus Orphanage in Ilorin. Here, resilience and joy shone through in children who’ve faced unimaginable hardships. “We are here to tell you that God has not forgotten you,” PMJC’s organizer shared. “Jesus Christ does not discriminate. His love is for everyone.”

Every prayer, every hug, and every meal delivered was a reminder that love can change everything.

The Journey Isn’t Over—Join Us

PMJC 2024 isn’t just a mission. It’s a movement of care, love, and transformation. And while we’ve seen incredible things, there’s still much more to do. Communities worldwide are waiting, and we’re determined to go where we most need.

But we need you. Your support, whether through donations, prayers, or volunteering, can change lives. We can be Christ’s hands and feet in a world that desperately needs Him.

Let’s keep writing this story together. The world is waiting.
